Wonderful wedding this past weekend at the Borgata Water club in Atlantic City, NJ.  Here is just a peek of Rachel & Marc.  Enjoy, full post will be up shortly.

On the drive over to shoot Mike and Kim’s beach engagement session the weather looked as if it had other plans for us.  Dark and stormy almost all the way to the bridge, but as we pulled into Lavallette NJ, the skies cleared a little, leaving just enough cloud to add some dramatic effect. Thanks clouds!  Meeting at their charming weekend getaway, I noticed two bikes parked next to the house.  Cool couple + Cool beach bikes =  awesome beach engagement photos.  Simple math So, Mike & Kim set off on their beach bikes, and we followed them over a few blocks, so we could have some dunes and a small jetty to work with.  The location was perfect. With the weather just slightly on the cool side, the beach was empty, leaving us plenty of room to work. With the sun setting quickly, Mike & Kim again speed off on their bikes with us in tow for the bayside of Lavallette.  The sunset could not have been more perfect…lots of clouds and color…This coupled with Mike and Kim’s fun & energetic personalities was the perfect ending to an awesome (there ya’ go, Mike!) beach engagement session.

Mike and Kim are getting married this coming December at St Mary’s church in Pompton Lakes with the reception to follow at Florentine Gardens in Rivervale, NJ.

What better way to end Erin & Pat’s Philadelphia engagement shoot than with a couple of ice cold craft beers and some Oxtail.  Yes, I said oxtail!  After traipsing around the city for a couple of hours and looking for a place to get a drink, we stumbled upon the Happy Rooster on 16th.  There on the appetizer menu was brazed oxtail.  Thinking it couldn’t possibly actual oxtail, Lola grabbed her iPhone.  The image google returned was not pretty, but it did verify that said “Oxtail” was actually the tail of an ox!  So, with the nasty image of oxtails still in our head, and our waiter asking for our selections, we decided to try the oxtail.  The brazed oxtail arrived served over gnocchi.  We each put a bit on our forks, looked at each other as if to say “You better not back out…”  The old adage “Try it, you might like it” usually has a fairly low success rate…  But for a change, brazed oxtail is actually very delicious (well at least it is at the Happy Roster).  While all the food was quite good, the oxtail was my favorite.  Not so sure what the others thought

Well… that’s enough about oxtail.  Erin & Pat will be married next October in Philly.  We had a blast making our way around the city & getting to know them.  These two are so much fun, I cannot wait to see them  in full party mode at the reception next October!

Joey was letting us hear all of his Camaro’s 482 horses as he sat at the light.

We recently had the pleasure of working at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ providing wedding photography for Jaime and Mani.  With Jaime ready, we headed down to Clarks Landing to meet Mani.  The foyer  was the perfect setting for Jaime and Mani’s first meeting.  Jamie walked down the elegant flourished stairway towards her husband-to-be touching him lightly on the shoulder. Without a doubt Jaime and Mani’s first meeting was the most emotional Lola and I ever witnessed.

Prior to the Ceremony, time was set aside for a “Man Cruise”… Mani and his groomsmen made their way  to a1930′s 75 ft Nevins Cigarette yacht and spent and hour or so cruising the bay enjoying some fine Cognac.

The ceremony was extremely touching with speeches by fathers and siblings that spoke of the love and admiration these families have for Mani & Jaime.

As PJ from Unforgettable D.J.’s whipped the crowd into a frenzy,  the mirrored doors flung open to reveal Mani dipping Jaime and sharing a long kiss (see pic below).

NJ Beach Wedding

With the help from the lovely ladies at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC Jaime selected this incredible dress.

Jimmy Choo.. a girl’s best friend.  Walking back from the beach, Jaime gingerly walked across some gravel.  Mani asked “why don’t you put your shoes back on”?  Jaime just smiled and kept walking.  I think she would have rather walked on hot coals than risk ruining these shoes!

While out cruising the bay, a bottle of King Louis XIII Cognac appeared from a state room.  Soon after, instructions from a groomsman on the 3 noses of drinking such a fine cognac followed. With many toasts to Mani, the finely crafted bottle in the end, held only the vapor of its blend of over 1200 cognacs.

As the party raged on, Mani & friends busted out some old school break dance moves.

Well, we’re finally getting caught up on our blogging!  So stay tuned for the rest of the 2010 goodness which about to grace this blog!  We’ve been absolutely blessed & honored to work with so many wonderful couples  & families in 2010 & 2011 and we just can’t wait to share the images!

First up are Jen & Sal.  Yes, they had an oh-so-fabulous wedding!  I think my favorite memory was Jen & Sal’s perfectly-executed first dance. The love & teamwork that went into every step was a sight to see!  I’m sure you guys were a little nervous, but we couldn’t tell—move over Fred & Ginger!  Jen & her dad also burned up the dance floor to the crowd’s delight.  Just look at them!  The night ended on a sentimental note when Jen began crying (happy tears) while she and Sal watched the wedding day slideshow we made for them.  The day was perfect.
