We recently had the pleasure of working at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ providing wedding photography for Jaime and Mani. With Jaime ready, we headed down to Clarks Landing to meet Mani. The foyer was the perfect setting for Jaime and Mani’s first meeting. Jamie walked down the elegant flourished stairway towards her husband-to-be touching him lightly on the shoulder. Without a doubt Jaime and Mani’s first meeting was the most emotional Lola and I ever witnessed.
Prior to the Ceremony, time was set aside for a “Man Cruise”… Mani and his groomsmen made their way to a1930′s 75 ft Nevins Cigarette yacht and spent and hour or so cruising the bay enjoying some fine Cognac.
The ceremony was extremely touching with speeches by fathers and siblings that spoke of the love and admiration these families have for Mani & Jaime.
As PJ from Unforgettable D.J.’s whipped the crowd into a frenzy, the mirrored doors flung open to reveal Mani dipping Jaime and sharing a long kiss (see pic below).
Congratulations again Jaime & Mani!
NJ Beach Wedding
With the help from the lovely ladies at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC Jaime selected this incredible dress.

Jimmy Choo.. a girl’s best friend. Walking back from the beach, Jaime gingerly walked across some gravel. Mani asked “why don’t you put your shoes back on”? Jaime just smiled and kept walking. I think she would have rather walked on hot coals than risk ruining these shoes!

Jaime’s grandfather built this house 47 years ago, the light was spectacular

While out cruising the bay, a bottle of King Louis XIII Cognac appeared from a state room. Soon after, instructions from a groomsman on the 3 noses of drinking such a fine cognac followed. With many toasts to Mani, the finely crafted bottle in the end, held only the vapor of its blend of over 1200 cognacs.

As the party raged on, Mani & friends busted out some old school break dance moves.

Well, we’re finally getting caught up on our blogging! So stay tuned for the rest of the 2010 goodness which about to grace this blog! We’ve been absolutely blessed & honored to work with so many wonderful couples & families in 2010 & 2011 and we just can’t wait to share the images!
First up are Jen & Sal. Yes, they had an oh-so-fabulous wedding! I think my favorite memory was Jen & Sal’s perfectly-executed first dance. The love & teamwork that went into every step was a sight to see! I’m sure you guys were a little nervous, but we couldn’t tell—move over Fred & Ginger! Jen & her dad also burned up the dance floor to the crowd’s delight. Just look at them! The night ended on a sentimental note when Jen began crying (happy tears) while she and Sal watched the wedding day slideshow we made for them. The day was perfect.
Congratulations again Jen & Sal!

Bob and I had such a great time with Diana & Mike at the Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, NJ. We just adore them! Two of the nicest people you could ever meet! And what a sweet NJ beach wedding this was! One of our favorites from this year and we can’t exactly put our finger on why. Maybe because Diana has such a sunny personality and Mike is so easy going. Perhaps because both Diana and Mike appreciate the art of photography, so they were really fun to photograph on their wedding day as well as during their engagement session (see May blog archives ). Or maybe, it’s Diana’s elegant, yet chic, sense of style that just made the day that much more special. The Flanders Hotel is supposedly haunted, though we didn’t see any ghosts or photograph any orbs, so I guess it’s safe–either that, or they were hiding from us
Haunted or not, it’s a charming hotel right on the beach with lots of character that also has a “hall of mirrors.” After all, a haunted hotel wouldn’t be complete without a hall of mirrors now would it? The Flanders Hotel Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Diana was simply stunning in her beautiful gown and you’d never know it was 95 degrees, because she and Mike were kool as cucumbers
Congratulations again, Diana & Mike!

one word…gorgeous! Oh, and the flowers were beautiful too! Diana’s flowers were created by the folks at Savannah’s Garden
Bob’s favorite…the shoes absolutely had to make it to the blog–we LOVE color!

We’re “fans” of the fans…

diana & mike:
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Diana: The most memorable moment of the day was when Mike and I met for our “First Meeting” and the anticipation leading up to it. It was great to share a private moment with him before the day started before we became husband and wife (and to get any tears out!). Mike: Seeing Diana for the first time in her dress during our first meeting. She started crying and it was beautiful. She was beautiful.
What was your favorite detail?
Diana: My favorite detail was the Mac & Manco pizza after dinner. It was really fun to create a beach theme with the pizza, salt water taffy, and starfish name tags. Mike: Dancing with Diana to “Blue Eyes” in front of everyone. Loving her more than ever.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Diana: My advice to a future bride would be to enjoy every moment of the wedding planning process. It gets stressful and there are so many choices to make and you want everything to be perfect- and it will be. The wedding day goes by so quickly that you need to spread your joy and anticipation out over the entire time you are planning your wedding. When the big day comes, just take it all in! Mike: Relax, it will all fall into place. Remember to have fun at your own party.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Diana: The funniest memory would have to be trying to keep a straight face while saying our vows on the beach, while out of the corner of my eye, seeing a guy in a Speedo walking along the shoreline. Mike: Bob (a groomsman) doing the running man.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Diana: Honestly, I would not change one thing. Everything was better than I could have ever dreamed of. Mike: Nope.
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
Diana: My favorite wedding purchase was the wedding dress. I loved trying on so many pretty dresses and I miss it already!
Where did you go on your honeymoon? Virginia Beach
